Assistant Accountant
Location: Central London (Hybrid – 2 days in the office)
Salary: Up to £49,000 + benefits
A fast-paced, global business is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-driven Assistant Accountant to join its growing finance team in Central London. Working within a dynamic and supportive environment, this role offers fantastic exposure across accounts payable, receivable, and broader month-end processes.
You’ll be joining a team that supports high-profile clients and global operations, so a proactive approach, eagerness to learn, and strong attention to detail are essential. What you’ll be doing:
- Managing end-to-end Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
- Posting and processing supplier invoices and managing payment runs
- Raising client invoices and maintaining an up-to-date debtor tracker
- Performing bank, credit card, and petty cash reconciliations
- Supporting with month-end duties including accruals and prepayments
- Liaising with suppliers, internal teams, and regional directors
- Assisting with ad hoc reporting and finance projects
What we’re looking for:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an Assistant Accountant or similar finance role
- Confident handling both AP and AR processes
- Experience with reconciliations and month-end tasks
- A proactive team player who’s keen to learn and grow
- Excellent Excel skills; experience with Salesforce is a plus
- Comfortable working across systems and exploring tech to improve processes
