Venture Recruitment Partners are working with an international Accounting firm in their search for an Assistant Tax Accountant to assist the Tax team, based in central Southampton.
Key responsibilities for the Assistant Tax Accountant will include:
- Filing offline VAT returns in a timely manner
- Advising clients which tax office to make payments to
- Review thresholds in place in each country and notify European offices of such data
- Managing client’s accounts in co-ordination with the Credit Control Department
- Inform clients of potential VAT penalties within all Countries
- Corresponding with clients in relation to tax authorities in Europe
The successful Assistant Tax Accountant will have the following:
- Experience working in a VAT/Accountancy/Finance department
- Knowledge of VAT law
- Works well in a small team as well as independently
- Excellent communication skills
- Organised and able to multi-task
