Venture Recruitment Partners are working with a fast-growth and internationally operating business, based in the Portsmouth area, in their search for a Temporary Credit Controller.
The role is full-time, and only required in the office once every two weeks and initially a 3-month contract.
Pay rate is up to £13 p/h
The Credit Controller reports to the Finance Manager and is primarily responsible for managing customer collections for the international sales ledgers.
What you'll do:
- Process cash application daily for cheques and bank transfers and allocate against
outstanding invoices - Deposit and track customer cheques by post to Bank of America
- Reach out to customers via phone calls or emails regarding past due accounts in
accordance with the aged debt collection policy - Take responsibility for monitoring the resolution of customer disputes, ensuring customer
concerns are acted upon timely and correctly - Communicate with customers and internal teams for inquiries including but not limited to
payment information, invoice questions and account balances - Run and maintain monthly aging reports for review by the Director of Finance and
Sales/Account Management teams - Review unapplied cash on customer accounts for refunds and/or apply to open invoices
with communication to the customer
What you should have:
- Considerable experience reviewing and advising on past due accounts for payment options and debt recovery
- Organised and efficient with high standards of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication (both internally and externally)
