About the Role
We are supporting a global technology business based in Basingstoke in their search for a newly qualified Financial Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity for a recently qualified accountant to join a growing, international organisation and gain broad exposure across financial reporting, controls, and business partnering.
Reporting into a Finance Manager, this role will play a key part in delivering accurate financial reporting, supporting month-end processes, and ensuring strong financial control in a fast-paced, commercial environment.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Month-End
- Preparation of monthly management accounts in line with group deadlines
- Ownership of balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules
- Posting and review of journals, accruals, and prepayments
- Support with statutory accounts preparation and audit processes
Controls & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures
- Support SOX / audit requirements where applicable
- Assist with process improvements to strengthen financial control and efficiency
Business Support & Analysis
- Provide financial insight and analysis to support business decision-making
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities
- Liaise with internal stakeholders across finance and the wider business
Experience & Qualifications
Essential
- Newly qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) or equivalent
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- Strong technical accounting foundation
- Advanced Excel skills
- Ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
Desirable
- Experience within a technology, software, or international business
- Exposure to ERP systems
- Experience working in a group or multi-entity environment
