Venture Recruitment Partners are assisting a global brand, based in the New Forest, in their search for a Group Accountant.
This newly created role will report to the Financial Controller; responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Preparation of monthly group management accounts and commentary.
- Assisting with preparation of quarterly investor reports and annual audited accounts.
- Assisting in the year-end processes, liaising with external auditors and helping to prepare the external audit and reporting timetable.
- Consolidating the budget submissions and preparing slides for presenting to Group.
- Compiling annual business turnover analysis for submission to competition authorities.
- Preparing annual accounts for corporate and holding company entities.
- Managing relationships across a wide range of stakeholders to ensure the Group’s financial and regulatory reporting objectives are met.
- Responsibility for the maintenance of a robust control environment.
- Preparation of slide packs for Group CFO.
- Involvement with Group refinancing.
- Various ad-hoc analysis and projects.
You will be:
- A qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
- Have sound technical accounting knowledge, with specific expertise in IFRS/FRS101.
- Highly analytical with strong excel skills; ability to convert complex financial data into meaningful business information.
- Have a continuous improvement mentality, with natural affinity for process and control efficiency.
