Indirect Tax Manager – EMEA Shared Services
Location: London (Hybrid Working)
Salary: £76k plus bonus
We’re looking for an Indirect Tax Manager to join a fast-growing, global company in its EMEA Shared Services team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a tax professional to take ownership of indirect tax compliance across multiple territories, help drive process improvement, and play a key role in the transition to SAP S/4HANA.
What the role involves:
- Leading and developing a high-performing team of tax analysts.
- Driving process improvements and automation across VAT, GST, and withholding taxes.
- Maintaining strong governance, internal controls, and compliance standards.
- Producing insightful reports to support strategic business decisions.
- Collaborating with finance teams, regional offices, and other stakeholders to optimise tax processes.
- Ensuring timely and accurate preparation of indirect tax returns across EMEA.
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, or related field.
- 5+ years’ experience in indirect tax, ideally in a multinational or professional services environment.
- Strong understanding of VAT, GST, and withholding tax in key EMEA territories.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA and tax engines such as ONESOURCE.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to explain complex tax issues to non-specialists.
- Proactive, solutions-focused, and comfortable in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Skilled in process design, improvement, and reporting.
Desirable skills:
- Fluency in English plus another European language (French, German, Italian, Spanish).
- Experience creating compliance calendars and documenting processes.
- Knowledge of XML log analysis and GAAP-to-tax adjustments.
