Interim Finance Manager

Job Description

Our client, a rapidly growing Services business based in Fareham is seeking to recruit an Interim Finance Manager for an initial 3 months.

Key responsibilities of the Finance Manager include:

  • Responsible for all aspects of accounting
  • Ensure a robust and continually evolving control environment is maintained, including maintenance of all balance sheet reconciliations
  • Review of work of junior members of the team to ensure quality control
  • Management and mentoring of staff
  • Creation, analysis and support of management information to the business
  • Responsible for the development and delivery of management and statutory financial statements
  • Effective business partnering, engaging with the business in managing working capital, expenditure and projects
  • Develop a proactive approach to analysis of financial data going beyond timely and accurate preparation understanding why and where action is required

Key skills and experience of the Finance Manager include:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Experience of producing relevant management information, acting as a commercially minded financial business partner to other business areas
  • Demonstrable experience of managing, coaching and developing a team
  • Sound technical accounting and reporting experience
  • Advanced Excel skills essential, system experience of [Power BI] beneficial
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
