Management Accountant

Job Description

Venture Recruitment Partners are working with a growing business based on the outskirts of Southampton in their recruitment for a Management Accountant on a permanent basis.


Key responsibilities of the Management Accountant will include:

  • Assist with preparation of monthly accounts, including variance analysis and preparation of Group Statutory Accounts
  • Assist Head of Finance with additional reporting requirements
  • Maintenance of accruals and prepayments
  • Accounts reconciliation 
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assist with budget analysis
  • Assist Department Heads with budget and preparation of information
  • Preparation of VAT return
  • Maintenance and reconciliation of fixed asset register
  • Reports on sales/revenue analysis
  • Reporting on expenditure and explanations of cost savings
  • Development of management information
  • Investigate and justify significant changes in purchase prices


The ideal candidate for the Management Accountant job will be:

  • Part qualified and actively studying either ACCA or CIMA
  • Experienced in a Management Accountant or similar position
  • A confident Excel user (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIF functions)
  • Willing to travel to the offices in Romsey for 5 days a week
