Venture are working with a large local retail employer in Weymouth looking for a finance professional on a temporary basis,with strong accruals and pre-payments experience for a role with hybrid working, study support and strong internal development opportunities.
This role has hybrid working (average 3 days per week in the office) and would best suit a progressive finance professional who has good attention to detail and a willingness to question the way things are done.
Some of the key functions of this role are;
- Accountable for ensuring the calculation and posting of accurate transactional level data for the four Estates areas
- Key finance contact with 3rd party estates management team
- Full understanding of the business channel direct report is responsible for (Head Office, IT and store maintenance)
- Employ a thorough knowledge of trading and proactive review of costs to identify risks and opportunities
- Accountable for reviewing and developing best processes within Finance for accurate, timely transactional level posting in order to minimise rework at period end
About you:
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Excel
- Solid understanding of the balance sheet, and the difference between creditors and accruals, and clarity over standard accounting and double entry
- Studying or part qualified in a recognised accountancy qualification
Duration: 6 months

Salary : £30,000 - £35,000 p/a
