Position- Senior Payroll Officer
Venture Recruitment Partners are recruiting a Senior Payroll Officerfor a market-leading SME in the Portsmouth area. Specialisng in transport and logistics, this fast-paced environment offers the Senior Payroll Officer excellent development opportunities and exposes them to a payroll of over 500 staff with varying pay and requirements.
The responsibilities of the Senior Payroll Officer are:
- To manage payments for monthly paid employees, accurately calculating payments due from time sheets, spreadsheets and relating information
- Reconciliation of payments and deductions, balances for the month and year to date. Producing the tax year end for all payrolls
- Issuing of P60's and compliance with HMRC regulations

Production of payroll costing journals. All Payroll reconciliations for Management Accounts and audit purposes. Production of management reports
- Deal with payroll, pension queries in a timely manner and monitor and manage the pnesion scheme
The Senior Payroll Officer will have:
- Strong experience in a payroll job
- Expereince with SAGE
- Experience with large payrolls
