Temporary Assistant Accountant

Job Description

Venture Recruitment Partners are working with a market-leading financial services business based in central Southampton in their recruitment for an Assistant Accountant on a temporary basis to support with a project for an initial 2 months. 

Key responsibilities of the Assistant Accountant will include:

  • Support with accounts preparation
  • Extraction of data from websites
  • Completing multiple bank reconciliations
  • Updating of cash flow forecasts
  • General month end support
  • Ad-hoc requests from the management function

The ideal Assistant Accountant will have the following:

  • Ability to start at short notice is essential
  • AAT Level 3 or above or part-qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA or equivalent
  • Experience in working in a financial services or wealth management industry
  • Knowledge of reconciliations
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel
  • High level of attention to detail and a commitment to quality
  • Able to work as part of a team
  • Excellent analytical skills

This role will be office-based for the duration of the assignment.
