Position: Trainee Accounts Assistant
Rate/ Salary: £19,000- £21,000 + Study Support

Description: Venture Recruitment Partners are working with an SME based near Whiteley in their search for a Trainee Accounts Assistant.
Reporting into the Financial Controller, this role is ideal for people looking to make their first move into finance. You will be exposed to all elements of accounting and progress your career within a large and inclusive finance team. They will also offer study support for this position once you have passed your probation.
The key responsibilities of the Trainee Accounts Assistant will include:
Responsibilities:
- Accurately post invoices onto system
- Generate weekly and monthly BACS runs
- Support the Purchase Ledger Supervisor in completing all the relevant tasks for ‘end of month’ within the timescale given
- Supporting the process of credit card and employee expense claims
- Reconcile petty cash and post to the accounts system, liaising with the depots
- Sort through all incoming mail, distributing and actioning as appropriate.
Skills/Experience:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Computer literate, experience of MS Office
- Would suit an AAT studier or someone wishing to take their first move into accountancy
