Financial Accountant

Summary
Venture Recruitment Partners are working with a well-established global business in Andover.  The client is looking to recruit a Financial Accountant on a permanent basis.  You will be part of an established and friendly team and collectively will be responsible for timely and accurate processing of financial control, accounting, and reporting activities.

You will be supporting key stakeholders in the financial reporting process.

The Role

  • Monthly accounting for UK, Nordic, Polish and French businesses, support the Financial Controller.
  • Create and post standard journals.
  • Creating fixed assets, maintaining register, and running monthly depreciation.
  • Standard monthly reporting, submitted to tight deadlines.
  • VAT returns for multiple entities.
  • Monthly Intrastat/EC Sales/EU Services reporting
  • Complete balance sheet reconciliations for specific accounts on a monthly/quarterly basis and undertake follow up actions as appropriate.
  • Back up for monthly Payroll for two companies (including reporting and third-party payments)
  • Review and update payroll processing system and records for gathering, calculating, and inputting data.
  • Provide Holiday & Absence cover within Finance team (General Ledger, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable).
  • Allocation of payments and authorisation of payments for different businesses
  • Audit support for multiple legal entities.
  • Simplification and streamlining of current processes.

Skills, knowledge and Experience

It would be useful if you have the below:

  • Experience working in a large organisation
  • Part qualified / finalist / qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA with 3 years + experience within finance role
  • Experience of process improvements and standardising finance processes
  • Being able to build and maintain strong relationships with key business stakeholders and be confident enough to challenge when necessary.
  • Proactive individual with experience working in a flexible and changing environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach
