Accounts Payable Clerk

Venture Recruitment Partners are working with a rapidly growing business on the outskirts of Hedge End in their recruitment for an Accounts Payable Clerk for an initial 1-month temporary basis. There may be a potential for the role to be extended.


The successful Accounts Payable Clerk will be responsible for:

  • Drive process improvements by changing vendor processes behaviours
  • Drive reduction in vendor proliferation
  • Drive vendor consolidation on company system 
  • Consolidated billing where appropriate
  • Review and enhance PO segmentation policy as appropriate
  • Review segmentation against vendor data
  • Drive adoption of low value purchasing; develop low value segmentation policy
  • Drive process adoption
  • Develop training for users across process areas
  • Develop key contacts list for support and handover to key users 
  • Review and update training material 
  • Review and revise definitions of key master data fields
  • Oversee enrichment of data fields as required


The ideal candidate for the Accounts Payable Clerk job will have:

  • Accounts Payable experience desirable 
  • First class communication skills
  • Good time management 
  • Experience working in a large, fast-paced business

This role will be fully office-based.
