Assistant Accountant

Are you an Assistant Accountant seeking your next contract opportunity?

Venture Recruitment Partners are partnering with a high-growth SME in Bournemouth who are seeking to recruit an Assistant Accountant on a 6 month contract.

Responsibilities include:

  • Processing of all Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger invoices to SAGE ensuring correct coding.
  • Ensuring all invoices and purchase orders are correctly approved before being processed for payment.
  • Monthly Reconciliation of supplier statements.
  • Processing of all employees’ expenses
  • Processing of all credit card charges.
  • Ensuring all Purchase Invoices match approved purchase orders.
  • Maintenance of the Aged Creditor Reports, preparation of payment runs, sending out remittances.
  • Daily Bank Entries and Bank reconciliations.
  • Resolving all queries quickly and efficiently
  • Liaising will all aspects of the business on purchase ledger matters


  • Good Excel skills
  • Sage system experience
  • Bank Reconciliations experience
  • Available at short notice
