Venture Recruitment Partners are working with market leading Financial Services company in their search for a Credit Control Manager to join their team in central Southampton. Our client is rapidly expanding in to the European market and specialises in E-commerce. This role will report directly to the FD and give the candidate the opportunity to develop and progress in a fast paced environment.


Responsibilities of the Credit Control Manager include:

  • Taking and processing payments via debit/credit cards
  • Liaising with compliance team, answering queries and building relationships with other departments for overall smooth customer journey
  • Dealing with any issues affecting the timely collection of overdue accounts (difficult clients)
  • Supervise a team of 4 members, carrying out bi-monthly 1:1s and team appraisals
  • Managing recruitment and all HR aspects for Credit Control team
  • Set and monitor monthly targets for Credit Control team - targets should be challenging, realistic and achievable while maintaining high customer satisfaction
  • Manage team performance by allocating priorities and workloads to enable direct reports to meet and exceed individual and team goals and objectives
  • Preparing report on monthly invoice renewals and sending it to the sales billing team
  • Identifying potential bad debts for monthly accounting purposes
  • Escalating difficult clients and potential bad debtors through legal collection procedures
  • Credit Notes, Invoice Amendments/De-Registration and disengagement/refunds
  • Identify process improvements and additions necessary to carry out business as usual


Skills and experience of the Credit Control Manager:

  • Proven experience in Credit Management at a senior level
  • Ability to innovate to create and implement continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ability to support and influence all stakeholders, including Directors across the business
  • Experienced in all areas of credit risk management
  • People management experience
  • A strong understanding of credit policy, process, and performance measurement of credit control best practice
  • Knowledgeable on all key KPIs associated with accounts receivable and producing MI to measure and monitor the success of you and your team
