Finance Manager

Job Description

We are delighted to be supporting a fast-growing SME with the recruitment of a Qualified Finance Manager in a newly created role.

Reporting to the directors of this entrepreneurial, high growth business this role will lead to FD in the future and therefore a positive, proactive and forward-thinking Accountant is required.


Main Duties


  • Collaborating with the Directors to improve efficiency across the finance function.
  • Financial report analysis, providing advice and presenting to the Directors and CEO.
  • Management of all financial accounting processes.
  • Production of monthly/annual management accounts, P&L reports.
  • Posting all journals and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Production and submission of VAT returns.
  • Cashflow reporting/working capital monitoring.
  • Liaising with external auditors and other professional service providers.
  • Annual statutory accounts/tax returns.
  • Implementing and maintaining effective internal controls and policies.
  • Overseeing the accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
  • Monthly Payroll
  • Bank reconciliations.


About you:


We are looking for an experienced, professional, and focused Finance Manager to oversee the finance operations, taking a hands-on approach in all aspects of the role. Candidates should be fully qualified (ACA, CIMA, or ACCA) with a background in financial management and controls ideally within a SME environment.  You will be hands on, analytical in your approach, highly organised, and detail orientated, with the ability to multi-task in this exciting progressive role. Strong negotiation, communication and excellent management skills are also required, and experience of systems implementation / change would be an advantage.
