Group Financial Accountant

Our client is a large PE backed business with ambitious growth plans. Now seeking a career focused, future leader in their new Group Financial Accountant.
The role
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, this is a key role in a broad ranging Group Finance team:
- Contribute to timely and accurate reporting across the IFRS consolidated Groups and statutory UK GAAP reporting
- Develop internal relationships with a variety of stakeholders to generate knowledge and understanding of operating activities and associated financial reporting
- Utilise central view to ensure consistency across the Group
- Assist with advice to local teams using sound technical knowledge
- Support FP&A activities particularly during forecast and budget processes
- Maintain and improve financial reporting procedures
- Risk management, including finance controls improvements
- Finance system improvements
About you:
This position is a development role for a recently qualified accountant with aspirations to work for an organisation offering longer term opportunities.
The candidate will be a self-starter with a strong accounting background, a desire to be involved in a variety of activities, and a willingness to take ownership. Industry experience is not required.
We’re seeking a qualified accountant who is adaptable, committed and enthusiastic for new challenges and a credibility to work across various levels. Candidates should have an enquiring mindset and practical experience of dealing with technical matters with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
