Group Reporting Accountant

Venture Recruitment Partners are delighted to be supporting an international, listed, manufacturing business with the recruitment of the Group Reporting Accountant.
We’re seeking a qualified, high calibre individual to be responsible for developing and implementing robust management accounting and financial reporting processes and strengthening financial governance and controls environment as the business positions for growth.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Responsibility for the management and financial reporting across the Group
- Review the monthly management accounts from key production facilities
- Prepare or review monthly management information for non-production business units
- Prepare consolidated Group management accounts and Group reporting pack for the Executive and Board meetings
- Lead on project initiative to improve accuracy, integrity and speed of the month end close process
- Work with Group and country finance teams and the wider business on strengthening financial governance and controls environment
- Support Group and local finance teams in implementing changes to the finance systems as and when required
- Prepare statutory accounts for the UK and other small entities in the Group
- Seek continuous improvements in finance operations and automation of reporting
About you:
- Qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA) with an experience of working in/ with listed plc corporates (either directly or from audit experience)
- Commercially focused with strong technical accounting skills
- Previous experience in consolidating management accounts from multiple entities
- Previous experience in dealing with foreign exchange and transfer pricing aspects
- Previous experience within or with manufacturing businesses would be an advantage
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with a sound understanding of financial systems
- Self-starter – ability to show initiative and work on his/her own to achieve department and business objectives
- Strong integrity and excellent judgement required
