Credit controller

Job Description


The Role:

We are working with a locally established SME communications and services business in Southampton in their search for a credit controller to support their finance function on a 6-month temporary basis. The role holder will work with the billings team to improve credit control and enquiry response times. There is scope for this position to be undertaken on either a full-time or part time basis.  

Details:
Location: Southampton
Salary: £13 - £16 p/h PAYE
Contract - 6 months
Hybrid: 1 day from home

Key Responsibilities:

Take control of the day to day credit control process 

Manage bank receipt postings, account reconciliations and credit control 

Proactive communication with customers to improve response times and resolve debt enquiries


Experience and Qualifications:

Skilled background in accounts assistance processes such as purchase or sales ledger

Some experience in credit control and transactional finance

Ability to talk to customers 

Proficient in Excel with focus on analytical approach

Active studying of AAT or ACCA encouraged
