A leading international consultancy is seeking a skilled Finance Business Partner to strengthen its UK finance function. This newly created opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys shaping financial insight, partnering with senior leaders, and driving value across a diverse project‑based business.
The role
You’ll join a collaborative finance team spanning the UK and Northern Europe, supporting a large Buildings division with responsibility for financial planning, analysis, reporting, and business partnering. The position offers significant exposure to senior management and the chance to influence performance across a high‑profile portfolio.
Key focus areas include:
- Business controlling & advisory — presenting results, highlighting risks/opportunities, supporting decision‑making, and driving value creation.
- Working capital management — WIP analysis, contingency management, and proactive follow‑up.
- Reporting & analysis — income statement ownership, root‑cause analysis, project profitability, and ad‑hoc reporting including audit support.
- Planning & forecasting — leading budgeting cycles and ensuring accuracy and alignment with business leaders.
- Continuous improvement — identifying and implementing process enhancements.
About you
- Strong academic background; ideally ACA/CIMA qualified or Qualified by Experience.
- Proven business partnering experience with a solid understanding of project accounting or experience working in a projects based business
- Advanced analytical and Excel modelling skills.
- Experience with ERP systems and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Collaborative, commercially aware, and able to build strong working relationships.
