Venture Recruitment Partners are helping a market leading automotive manufacturer in the Portsmouth area in their search for a Group Reporting Accountant on a contract basis.
The Group Reporting Accountant will report to the Group Finance Director and will need to add value from the start whilst operating in a fast paced environment. This role is a 4 - 6 month contract and is paying £250 - £350p/d.
Group Reporting Accountant Duties:
- Responsibility for the management and financial reporting across the Group
- Prepare consolidated Group management accounts and Group reporting pack for the Executive and Board meetings
- Lead on project initiative to improve accuracy, integrity and speed of the month end close process
- Work with Group and country finance teams and the wider business on strengthening financial governance and controls environment
- Support Group and local finance teams in implementing changes to the finance systems as and when required
- Project manage and support the Group Finance Director in handling the audit fieldwork
- Ensure appropriate accounting policies are used across key accounting areas
- Work closely with the Group’s tax advisers to ensure compliance with corporate taxes across Group’s jurisdictions
Skills and Experience of the Group Reporting Accountant:
- Qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA) with an experience of working in/ with listed plc corporates
- Commercially focused with strong technical accounting skills
- Previous experience in consolidating management accounts from multiple business units/ countries
- Previous experience in dealing with foreign exchange and transfer pricing aspects
