We’re supporting a global technology business with the recruitment of a Qualified Management Accountant to join their team, working closely with various stakeholders across the organisation and contributing to the development and implementation of financial strategies and initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports, and present them to Finance Controller and Finance Director
- Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and cash flows for the organisation and its business units, and provide variance analysis and recommendations
- Provide financial advice and guidance to senior management and business units on financial performance, risks, opportunities, and best practices
- Identify and implement process improvements and cost savings initiatives to enhance efficiency and profitability
- Review and reconcile accounts and transactions, and ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of accounting records and documentation, and adhere to the organisation's policies and procedures
- Maintain internal controls and audit trails, and ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies, and regulations
- Assist with external audits and tax compliance, and liaise with auditors, tax authorities, and other external parties
- Research and update accounting standards, policies, and regulations, and keep abreast of the latest developments and trends in the field
- Manage and mentor junior accounting staff, and provide training and coaching as needed
- Performing inter-company reconciliations and eliminations, and ensuring consistency and accuracy of financial data across different entities and systems.
About you:
- Experienced in working in an international and multi-cultural environment.
- Previous responsibility for Accounting and Reporting, Forecasting and Budgeting, developing Business Plan, Working Capital management and Cash Flow.
- Fully Qualified (e.g. ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Excellent communication and people skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Has worked in agile, high-performance, and fast-paced environments
- Proficient in UK GAAP and experience in handling auditors
- High attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and demands.
