Part Qualified Management Accountant
Location: Basingstoke, Hampshire (Head Office)
Working hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £40k + benefits
Venture Recruitment is partnering with a growing and well-established organisation to recruit a Management Accountant to join their finance team at their Head Office in Basingstoke.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and supportive finance team where you’ll gain real exposure to the full management accounts process and play a key role in delivering meaningful financial insight across a portfolio of group companies.
Working closely with the Group Financial Controller and partnering with teams across the business, you’ll be at the heart of the finance function, helping to drive accurate reporting, identify trends, and support better commercial decision-making. What you’ll be doing:
- Producing and reviewing monthly management accounts for multiple entities
- Preparing balance sheet schedules and ensuring they reconcile to the trial balance
- Completing monthly revenue reconciliations and investigating any discrepancies
- Analysing profit and loss movements and trends, providing clear commentary and insights
- Investigating unusual balances and resolving financial queries
- Preparing and reviewing intercompany cost recharges
- Partnering with operational teams to deliver clear and meaningful financial information
- Ensuring accounting policies are applied consistently in line with UK GAAP standards
- Supporting the wider finance team with ad-hoc analysis and reporting
What we’re looking for:
- Part-qualified ACA, ACCA, or CIMA (or qualified by experience)
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of management reporting
- Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills
- A confident communicator who can work with finance and non-finance stakeholders
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and willingness to challenge and improve processes
- Ability to work independently while also contributing to a collaborative team environment
- Highly IT literate, particularly in Excel and financial systems
- Adaptable, organised, and comfortable handling confidential financial information
- Full UK driving licence (occasional travel may be required)
